Purpose
The purpose of this study guide is to introduce you to the topic of primary and secondary discourse and help you understand ideas presented in the video.
Objectives
In this assignment, you will gain the following skills & knowledge:
- Learn about primary & secondary discourse
- Watch and understand a video about discourse
- Answer questions about the material in the video
Outcome
The objectives in this activity will prepare you to:
- Become familiar with the United States higher education system, including terminology and institutional norms
Step 1: Schema Questions 1 & 2
- Answer the Schema questions BEFORE watching the video.
- Type your answers in complete sentences in the boxes under the questions.
Step 2: Notes Questions 3 - 10
- Read all the Notes questions before you watch the video.
- When you watch the video, remember to click on "cc" to read the words. You can also click on settings and then "Playback speed" and then "0.75x" to slow the rate of speech.
- As you watch the video, look for answers to the Notes questions.
- Watch the video as many times as you want.
- Type your answers in complete sentences in the box under the question.
Step 3: Submit
- After you have answered all of the questions, click Submit Quiz.
- You can take this quiz as many times as you want.
