The purpose of this assignment is to introduce you to the history of education in the US and help you understand and write about ideas presented in the video.

Objectives

• Learn about the history of education
• Understand the material discussed in the video
• Answer questions about material presented in the video

Outcome

The objectives in this assignment will prepare you to:

• Become familiar with the United States higher education system, including terminology and institutional norms

Directions

• Watch the video, "A History of Education in the U.S.".
• As you watch the video, try to look for answers to the Notes questions (#1 - 4).
• Watch the video as many times as you need.
• After you are finished watching the video, answer the Reflection questions (#5 - 10).
• Type your answers in complete sentences in the boxes under the questions.
• When you have answered all of the questions, click Submit Quiz.
