SVC Academic Catalog

Purpose

The purpose of this activity is to find out more about the classes you are taking next quarter.

Objectives

In this activity, you will learn the following skills & knowledge:

• Learn how to access your courses in the SVC Online Catalog
• Understand your course description
• Identify your learning outcomes

Outcomes

In this activity, you will learn the following skills & knowledge:

• Plan an appropriate academic schedule and program completion timeline, including an education plan 
• Access college and community resources to secure success in the classroom

Directions

Step 1: Access Course Details

1. Go to the SVC website
2. Click on MySVC
3. Under Academic Resources, click on Catalog Course Search
4. Choose one of the classes you are taking next quarter to search for. One way to do this, is to select the Department. Most ELA 018 students will take classes in either the English Language Acquisition (ELA) or College and Career Bridge (CCB) Departments.
5. Find the class you chose to search for and click on the link under Details

Step 2: Answer the Questions 

• Click on Start Quiz below
• Answer the questions in complete sentences about one of your classes next quarter
• When you have answered all of the questions, click Submit Quiz
